Hurry It Up Already, Rupert

Break.jpg
Sigh.

News Corp.'s bid to buy Newsday will face regulatory hurdles, but political attacks on the deal could be more of a long-term problem as News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch tries to seal the deal.
Which regulatory hurdles would those be? The two people in Congress who'll issue tersely worded press releases before the deal is ultimately rammed through?

Can we PLEASE just fucking expedite the process to the desired end result?

One company controlling all news sources, and each news source consisting of a multicultural robotic talking head on a loop that provides us with celebrity gossip, insists everything is fine and suggests we'd benefit from the purchase of a new low-interest mortgage?

Because the waiting and the pretense that we've got a functional and objective media (or government) is insulting to those of us who are marginally sentient, and honestly it simply puts off the inevitable revolutionary fisticuffs between the legions of Milton Friedman drones and the nation's six remaining humanists.
